Milwaukee MI0001 10mL Glass Cuvettes for Mi4XX Photometers
The Milwaukee MI0001 is a set of two premium 10mL optical glass replacement cuvettes designed specifically for the Milwaukee Mi4XX Photometer Series. Precision-manufactured from high-quality optical glass, these cuvettes deliver distortion-free light transmission and consistent colorimetric readings — essential for accurate photometric analysis of chlorine, ammonia, nitrate, phosphate, iron, and dozens of other water quality parameters.
Whether you’re verifying drinking water safety, monitoring wastewater effluent, or running chemical analysis in a laboratory, the MI0001 cuvettes ensure your photometer performs at its full potential — every single test.

Why Optical Glass Quality Matters
Photometric measurement accuracy depends entirely on the optical properties of the cuvette. Scratched, stained, or low-quality cuvettes scatter and absorb light unevenly, producing inaccurate absorbance readings and false parameter concentrations. The MI0001’s precision optical glass and uniform wall thickness ensure the light beam travels through the sample without interference — delivering the repeatable, compliant results your water quality application demands.
When to Replace Your Cuvettes
Replace when you notice visible scratches, permanent staining from reagents, chips or cracks, inconsistent duplicate readings, or inability to achieve proper blank calibration. Even minor surface damage can skew absorbance values — keep a spare set on hand to avoid testing downtime.
How to Use
- Clean cuvettes thoroughly with distilled water and a lint-free cloth before use
- Fill one cuvette with blank solution (reagent-free sample water) to the fill line
- Add the appropriate reagent to the second cuvette with your water sample
- Wipe the outside of both cuvettes with a lint-free cloth to remove fingerprints
- Insert the blank cuvette into the Mi4XX photometer for zero calibration
- Insert the sample cuvette for your parameter reading
- Rinse cuvettes immediately after use to prevent reagent staining
Care & Maintenance
Rinse with distilled water after each use. For stubborn reagent stains, soak briefly in dilute acid or mild detergent — avoid abrasive cleaners or scrubbing pads that scratch the optical surface. Dry with a lint-free cloth or air dry. Handle by the top rim to avoid fingerprints on the optical path. Store in a protective case to prevent scratches and breakage.
What’s Included
- 2 × Milwaukee MI0001 10mL High-Quality Optical Glass Cuvettes
Note: Milwaukee Mi4XX Photometers sold separately. For best results, always use a matched pair from the same set and replace both cuvettes together. Complete your cuvette kit with MI0002 Cuvette Caps and MI0003 Stopper Caps.
