Applications:
Essential for calibrating pH meters in aquariums (freshwater, saltwater, reef tanks), hydroponics (nutrient solution monitoring), swimming pools and spas, drinking water quality verification, environmental water testing, laboratory analysis, food and beverage production, wastewater treatment, and any application using pH meters. Regular calibration ensures accurate readings for optimal fish health, plant growth, and water quality management.
Compatible Equipment:
- Milwaukee pH meters and testers (MW100, MW101, MW102, etc.)
- Milwaukee pH controllers and monitors
- Milwaukee combo meters (MW801, MW802, etc.)
- Any pH meter requiring pH 7.01 calibration standard
Why Calibrate with pH 7.01?
pH 7.01 is the neutral point calibration standard used in multi-point calibration procedures. For accurate pH measurement across the full 0-14 pH scale, meters should be calibrated at two or three points: pH 7.01 (neutral), plus pH 4.01 (acidic) and/or pH 10.01 (alkaline). The pH 7.01 buffer is the most critical calibration point because it establishes the meter's zero point. Regular calibration with certified standards like M10007B ensures your meter provides accurate readings, which is critical for maintaining optimal conditions in aquariums, hydroponics, and water quality applications.
How to Use:
- Tear open one fresh M10007B sachet
- Pour solution into a clean calibration container
- Rinse your pH probe with distilled water
- Immerse probe in pH 7.01 solution
- Follow your meter's calibration procedure
- For best accuracy, also calibrate at pH 4.01 and/or pH 10.01
- Discard used solution after calibration—never reuse
Why Choose Single-Use Sachets?
Unlike bottled calibration solutions that can become contaminated or degrade over time, individual sachets provide fresh, uncontaminated solution for every calibration. The light-blocking packaging protects against UV degradation, and the pre-measured volume eliminates waste and guesswork. Each sachet includes lot number and expiration date for complete traceability and quality assurance. The yellow color-coded cap makes it easy to identify pH 7.01 buffer in your calibration kit.
Calibration Frequency:
For best results, calibrate your pH meter weekly for frequent use, monthly for moderate use, or before critical measurements. Always calibrate after cleaning the probe, when readings seem inaccurate, or when testing samples significantly different from the calibration standard.
Complete Calibration Kit:
For full two-point or three-point calibration, use M10007B (pH 7.01) with Milwaukee M10004B (pH 4.01) and/or M10010B (pH 10.01) calibration solutions (sold separately).
Note: For best results, calibrate at room temperature (25°C/77°F). Store sachets in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Do not use damaged or expired sachets.
