It's the preferred choice for families of 2–6 people with moderate to high daily water consumption.

Black Berkey™ Filtration
The Royal Berkey supports up to 4 Black Berkey™ Purification Elements installed in the upper chamber. In the standard 2-filter configuration, it delivers up to 3.5 gallons per hour. Upgraded to 4 filters, output increases to 7.0 gallons per hour. Black Berkey elements are the core of Berkey's purification performance, removing a wide range of contaminants through gravity-fed micro filtration.
