How to Use
Two-Point Calibration (Recommended): Pour a small amount of MA9007 (pH 7.01) into a clean container, calibrate your meter to 7.01, rinse probe with distilled water, then repeat with MA9004 (pH 4.01). Two-point calibration ensures accuracy across the full pH range. Discard used solution — never return to the bottle.
Cleaning: Soak the pH electrode in MA9015 cleaning solution for 15–20 minutes to remove protein deposits, oils, and contaminants. Rinse thoroughly with distilled water before calibrating or measuring.
Storage: Store the pH electrode submerged in MA9016 storage solution when not in use. Never store in distilled, DI, or RO water — this leaches ions from the glass membrane and permanently reduces electrode sensitivity.
Calibration Best Practices
- Calibrate weekly for frequent use; monthly for moderate use; always before critical measurements
- Always calibrate after cleaning the probe or after extended storage
- Allow solutions to reach room temperature (25°C / 77°F) before use for best accuracy
- Pour solutions into a separate container — never dip used probes directly into the bottle
- For three-point calibration, add Milwaukee MA9010 pH 10.01 buffer (sold separately)
