Applications
Essential for turbidity testing across a wide range of industries and use cases:
- Drinking water quality verification (EPA compliance)
- Wastewater treatment monitoring
- Environmental and field water sampling
- Laboratory NTU analysis
- Industrial water quality control
- Swimming pool and spa water clarity testing
- Aquarium and reef tank water quality
Why Optical Glass Quality Matters
Turbidity measurement accuracy depends entirely on the optical properties of the cuvette. Scratched, cloudy, or low-quality cuvettes scatter light and produce inaccurate NTU readings. The MI0011’s precision optical glass and uniform wall thickness ensure the light beam travels through the sample without interference — delivering the repeatable, compliant results your application demands.
When to Replace Your Cuvettes
Replace when you notice visible scratches, permanent cloudiness, chips or cracks, inconsistent duplicate readings, or inability to achieve proper calibration. Even minor surface damage can affect turbidity accuracy — keep a spare set on hand.
How to Use
- Clean cuvettes with distilled water and a lint-free cloth
- Fill one cuvette with blank solution (turbidity-free water) to the fill line
- Fill the second cuvette with your sample to the same level
- Wipe the outside of both cuvettes with a lint-free cloth to remove fingerprints
- Insert the blank cuvette into the MI415 for zero calibration
- Insert the sample cuvette for your turbidity reading
- Rinse and clean cuvettes immediately after use
Care & Maintenance
Rinse with distilled water after each use. Clean with mild detergent if needed — avoid abrasive cleaners or scrubbing pads. Dry with a lint-free cloth or air dry. Handle by the top rim to avoid fingerprints on optical surfaces. Store in a protective case to prevent scratches and breakage.
What’s Included
- 2 × Milwaukee MI0011 10mL High-Quality Optical Glass Cuvettes
Note: Milwaukee MI415 Turbidity Photometer sold separately. For best results, always use a matched pair from the same set and replace both cuvettes together to ensure consistent optical properties. Pair with MI0012 Cuvette Caps and MI0013 Stopper Caps for complete cuvette protection.
