AquaSafe RV Water Filter – The Purpose-Built Inline Filter for RVs, Boats & Campers
The AquaSafe inline RV water filter is engineered from the ground up for the unique water quality challenges faced at RV parks, marinas, and campgrounds. Combining patented KDF® media with the highest-grade acid-washed coconut shell granular activated carbon (GAC), AquaSafe delivers superior filtration of chlorine, heavy metals, hydrogen sulfide, and pesticides — while its bacteriostatic design prevents bacteria, algae, and mold growth during storage between trips.
Key Features
-
Bacteriostatic KDF® Media: Prevents bacteria, fungus, and mold from growing inside the filter when not in use — critical for part-time RVers who store their filter between trips
-
Premium Coconut Shell Activated Carbon: Highest-grade acid-washed coconut shell GAC — not the cheaper coal-based (bituminous) carbon used by competing brands
-
2x the KDF Media: Twice as much bacteriostatic KDF as many competing filters for better filtration performance and longer filter life
-
7-Stage Filtration Media: Uniquely constructed with 7 filter media layers for comprehensive contaminant removal
-
5 Sediment Filter Pads at 60 Micron: Finer sediment filtration than competing brands (which use 2–3 pads at up to 100 microns) — stops smaller particles
-
Calcium Scale Prevention: Converts calcium to a suspended form that won’t cling to heating elements or leave spots on windows, boats, and RV exteriors
-
10,000-Gallon Capacity: Up to 1–2 years of use — reusable across multiple RV seasons
-
Wide-Body Inline Design: Increased flow rate compared to standard inline filters
-
UV-Resistant Polypropylene Housing: Durable, rugged construction resistant to sun and outdoor exposure
-
Leak-Free Molded Garden Hose Fittings: Snug, secure connection — no cross-threading or leaking unlike flimsy nylon or lead-containing brass fittings on competing brands
-
Tightly Packed Media: Eliminates “channeling” — the failure mode where loosely packed media settles and allows water to bypass filtration entirely
-
Protective Storage End Caps Included: Store wet between uses to keep KDF media active and prevent bacterial buildup
-
Easy Installation: Simply attach to your drinking water hose — no tools or plumbing required

Why Bacteriostatic Matters for RVers
Most water filters are designed for continuous use. When stored wet between trips, standard carbon-only filters grow bacteria, algae, and mold — turning your filter into a contamination source. AquaSafe’s KDF media is bacteriostatic: it prevents bacteria from reproducing without introducing anti-bacterial chemicals you’d then consume. Store it wet, reuse it next season, and trust that it’s still clean.
How It Works: KDF + Coconut Shell GAC
AquaSafe combines two proven filtration technologies:
-
KDF® (Kinetic Degradation Fluxion) Media: Uses a redox reaction to remove heavy metals, control bacteria and algae, reduce hydrogen sulfide, chlorine, iron, lead, mercury, and dozens of other contaminants. KDF also extends the life of the activated carbon by reducing chlorine load on the carbon media.
-
Acid-Washed Coconut Shell GAC: Premium-grade activated carbon with a higher surface area and purity than coal-based alternatives. Adsorbs chlorine, chloramines, pesticides, herbicides, THMs, VOCs, bad taste, and odor.
Together, these two media deliver filtration performance that neither can achieve alone — and that no carbon-only filter can match.
