One Ultra Fluoride gravity filter element has been tested to remove up to 99% of Fluoride up to 1,950 ppm - E.g. if your water contains 1ppm of Fluoride these filters will effectively remove it for 1,950 Litres before needing to be replaced. USA water companies can add a maximum of 0.7-1.7ppm (0.7-1.7 milligram per litre (mg/L)) of Fluoride to the water stipulated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)" Since August 2023 the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has stipulated that the total amount of fluoride (added plus naturally occurring) cannot exceed 0.7 mg/L.
